Bruce Rowe

Bruce Rowe

Co-Founder

Bruce is the co-founder of FRED. His own journey as an entrepreneur, the risk-taking, the setbacks, the wins, convinced him that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools we have for solving real problems, and that far more young people deserve the chance to learn it early. That conviction is the reason FRED exists. He spent over a decade as a member and leader within the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), building his own businesses on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) before facilitating EOS implementations for other founders. That work, through Mpowered Business Solutions, gave him the confidence to step back from day-to-day operations and pursue his real purpose: making entrepreneurial learning and development accessible to anyone, anywhere. With two teenage sons of his own, that purpose became personal. FRED was built to give high school and university students the chance to learn and experience entrepreneurship firsthand, using generative AI to scale that access, and to help Bruce reach his ambition of positively impacting over 1 million students.

Ashleigh Flint

Ashleigh Flint

Co-Founder

Ashleigh is the co-founder of FRED. She studied Psychology and History at the University of Cape Town, and has spent her career at the intersection of education, technology, entrepreneurship and human behaviour, driven by a simple belief: when young people are equipped with the right tools, they don't just build businesses, they build stronger futures. That belief is what FRED is built around. Before FRED, she worked across education, mental health and community development in roles that shaped her commitment to solutions that are both impactful and accessible. That grounding in how people actually learn and change is what she now brings to building FRED for students. At FRED, Ashleigh focuses on building innovative learning experiences, forging meaningful partnerships, and equipping the next generation with the knowledge, mindset and confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world.

FRED Coaches

Coaches from within the community.

FRED doesn't parachute in outside trainers. We work with our channel partners to identify coaches and facilitators from within their own communities, then train and support them to deliver FRED locally.

Tyreeq Bezuidenhout

FRED Coach, via RLabs

Tyreeq is a 20-year-old AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner with a passion for technology and leadership. He got his start at RLabs as an intern, and today runs his own tutoring business, empowering students through personalised education and mentorship - with his AWS Solutions Architect certification next on the list. As a FRED Coach, he brings that same hands-on mentorship to the programme through RLabs' D-Labs, facilitating in-person sessions and coaching young people through the FRED curriculum, from first idea to a pitch they're proud of.

Songezo Magumasholo

FRED Coach, via Edunova

Songezo is a Business-Focused IT Enabler at Edunova, working at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship and youth development. As a FRED Coach, he facilitates the programme for the LEAP 1 cohort in Langa - running in-person sessions, guiding students through the FRED curriculum, and helping them build the confidence and business thinking to turn their ideas into a Business Model Canvas they can pitch with conviction.
